LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Bucknell Department of Athletics & Recreation and the Patriot League announced today that an extremely limited number of tickets for Friday's Patriot League Championship game between Bucknell and Lafayette have been returned from the Lafayette allotment and will go on sale on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 3 p.m. today.
Tickets may be purchased online, over the phone (570-577-1000) or in person at any Campus Box Office location: at the Weis Center, Elaine Langone Center or Barnes & Noble Bucknell Bookstore on Market Street.
The Bucknell-Lafayette game will be televised live on ESPN2 starting at 4:45 p.m. In addition, the game can be heard live on Eagle 107 (WEGH 107.3-FM) in Central Pennsylvania as well as on the internet at www.BucknellBison.com.
Bucknell is the No. 1 seed in the Patriot League Tournament after finishing the regular season with a 13-1 conference record. Now 24-8 overall, 22-2 since Dec. 1, and 18-1 since Christmas, the Bison reached the championship game with a 78-51 quarterfinal win over No. 8 Army, followed by a thrilling 66-64 semifinal victory over defending champion Lehigh on Sunday night.
Bucknell will host sixth-seeded Lafayette in Friday's final. The Leopards upset No. 2 American in double overtime in Washington, D.C., on Sunday.
The Bison will be making their eighth appearance in the Patriot League championship game, and they are looking to win it for the first time since their back-to-back titles in 2005 and 2006.
