Bison Men's Soccer Places 12 on Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Bucknell men's soccer program placed 12 student-athletes on the Patriot\ League\ Academic\ Honor\ Roll, the league office announced. Co-captains Ross Liberati (Warwick, Md./Tower Hill) and Travis Rand (Westbrook, Maine/Westbrook) both made the Honor Roll, as did 2010 Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year Brendan Burgdorf (Westfield, N.J./Pingry School).
Rand, Andrew Powell (Charlton, Mass./St. John's), Ryan Sappington (Barboursville, Va./Shattuck-St. Mary's) and Tommy Caso (Phoenix, Md./McDonogh) also made the NSCAA Scholar All-East Team, while Rand and Caso earned Capital One Academic All-District Honors.
Marc Hartmann (Bradenton, Fla./St. Stephen's), Bucknell's starting goalkeeper for the latter half of the season, made the Honor Roll with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Several members of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll were also honored for their play on the field. Burgdorf, Liberati and McCabe were all NSCAA All-Region selections, while Burgdorf, Liberati, Tommy McCabe (Sarasota, Fla./Cardinal Mooney) and Powell all garnered All-Patriot League recognition.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must have achieved a 3.2 grade-point average in the fall semester.
Bucknell captured its second straight Patriot League men's soccer title and third in the last five years in 2010.
