LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell football team placed 31 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced Friday. The 31 honorees ties the program record, established last year, and it marks the ninth time in the last 10 years at least 20 Bison have been recognized.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports.
Seven student-athletes in the Patriot League recorded GPAs of 4.0 or higher and three were Bison. Junior LB Tim Bolte, senior LB Travis Nissley, the two-time Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year, and senior OL Jason Vollmar each posted a 4.0 GPA in the fall.
