Bucknell Football and Women's Sports Luncheons Kick Off Next Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The anticipation for the 2010 Bucknell football campaign continues to grow and once again this fall Bison fans will have the chance to get an inside look at the program at the weekly Bucknell Football Luncheons. The Bucknell Football Luncheons will commence next Tuesday, Aug. 31, just a few days before the Sept. 4 season opener at Duquesne. Also next week, the monthly Women's Sports Luncheons begin with the first one being held Wednesday (Sept. 1).
Held at the Lewisburg Hotel on Market Street in downtown Lewisburg, the Bucknell Football Luncheons take place each Tuesday during the football season from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. The buffet lunch is served on the second floor of the hotel and the cost is $8. Bison first-year head coach Joe Susan will recap the previous week's game, preview the next opponent and take questions from fans at the popular event. Select players will also be present at the luncheons.
The Women's Sports Luncheon is generally held the first Wednesday of each month throughout the school year. Each head coach of the in-season women's teams at Bucknell talks to the crowd about his or her team and awards a player of the month. Select student-athletes will also speak about their experiences as Division I athletes at Bucknell. The Women's Sports Luncheon is held inside the Elaine Langone Center on the Bucknell campus and the cost for the buffet lunch is $7.75. The event takes place from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Fans not located in Central Pennsylvania will have the opportunity to see a brief video recap of each luncheon on Bison Vision.
