LEWISBURG, Pa. - Inclement weather in the forecast in Emmitsburg, Md., has postponed the Bucknell tennis match with Mount St. Mary's. Originally scheduled for Tuesday, the Bison and Mountaineers will now face off at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24.
The Bucknell women are coming off a 6-1 victory over Villanova last weekend, bringing their season record to 4-5. Several Bison are looking to maintain their individual winning streaks, including Lauren Lucido (Woodstock, Md./St. Paul's School for Girls) and Tania Varela (Quito, Ecuador/Alliance Academy) who have defeated each of their last eight doubles opponents.
The Bucknell men's team is 2-9 on the year after falling 4-3 at Villanova. The Bison are looking for their 13th win in series history against the Mountaineers and their fourth victory in as many years.
After taking on Mount St. Mary's, Bucknell will return home for its Patriot League opener against Navy on Saturday, March 27. Competition at the Bucknell Tennis Courts begins at 10 a.m.
