WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- A 79 from Katie Jurenovich (Warren, Ohio/Howland) helped the Bucknell women's golf team to a first-round 336 and a 13th-place standing out of 21 teams at the halfway point of the C&F Bank Intercollegiate, hosted by William & Mary at Ford's Colony CC.
Minjoo Lee (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston) posted an 81 for the Bison, and freshman Alana Friedlander (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) had a solid round with an 85. Brittany Rendell (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier) carded a 91 and Leah Antkiewicz (Aliquippa, Pa./Quigley Catholic) shot a 92.
St. John's took the first-round lead with a 307 team score, but William & Mary and Longwood are just one shot back.
The individual leader is Samantha Morrell of Old Dominion, who shot a 3-under-par 69. She was the only player in the field to break par.
Round two will begin Sunday morning.
