Bucknell's Swimming and Diving Teams Honored by CSCAA for Academic Prowess

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its list of Scholar All-America teams on Friday and both the Bucknell men's and women's swimming and diving squads were recognized. The Bison women listed seventh nationally, while the men were among the top 35 teams academically.
The CSCAA recognized all teams that had grade-point averages above 3.0 during the 2009 fall semester. A total of 112 women's teams were cited, while 42 men's programs were honored.
Bucknell's women posted a grade-point average of 3.46 during the fall semester, while the men had a 3.06 GPA to rank 32nd.
Bucknell was one of four Patriot League programs to have both its men's and women's teams honored, joining American, Lafayette and Lehigh.
The Bison men's and women's squads will next be in action in two weeks at the Patriot League Championships at Navy.
