Where to Catch Bison Basketball in 2010-11

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The new Bucknell basketball season is just two days away and once again in 2010-11 Bison fans have a number of ways to follow their favorite teams. Fans can follow the games online via live video, live audio, live statistics and Twitter updates. Every Bucknell men's and women's basketball game will also be broadcast on the radio, while a handful of contests will air on national television.
The Bison men's basketball team tips off its season Friday at 8 p.m. at No. 6 Villanova. The game will be broadcast on ESPN3.com. The women also commence their season Friday when they host Rider at 5 p.m. at Sojka Pavilion.
On the Radio
• The flagship radio station for every Bucknell men's basketball game is Eagle 107 (WEGH 107.3 FM) in the Central Susquehanna Valley. Doug Birdsong will handle play-by-play, while former Bison Ed Sigl '84 will be the primary analyst.
• Bucknell women's basketball games will be broadcast on 90.5 WVBU in the Lewisburg area. Ryan Unger will serve as the play-by-play voice for every game, home and away, for the fourth consecutive year.
• Both the men's and women's radio broadcasts will be available free of charge online through SportsJuice.com.
On Television
• The Bucknell men's basketball team will have a number of nationally and regionally televised contests. The Bison will make at least two appearances on CBS College Sports during the Patriot League season. Their Jan. 8 game at Navy and the Jan. 16 home matchup with Holy Cross will air on CBS College Sports. There are also two additional “flex” dates at the end of the season, and the network will also carry games in the Patriot League Tournament.
• The Bison women's basketball team is currently scheduled to appear on national television once during the regular season. Bucknell's Dec. 28 game at Penn State will air on the Big Ten Network. Additionally, the Patriot League Championship game (March 12) will air on CBS College Sports.
Online Video/Bison Vision
• Every home men's and women's game can be watched live online via Bison Vision All-Access for a small charge. Select road contests will also be available.
• The Patriot League All-Access package also returns in 2011 on PatriotLeague.com. Every conference men's and women's game (except those airing on CBS College Sports) will be broadcast live.
• Friday's men's basketball season opener will be broadcast on ESPN3.com. ESPN3 is a broadband network for live sports programming. It is available nationwide, but fans must subscribe to a participating high-speed internet service provider for access.
GameTracker
• Every Bison home game and select road contests will feature live statistics via GameTracker. Fans can keep tabs on the game in real time.
Twitter
• Search for “BisonSports” on Twitter to find Bucknell Athletics notes and scores. Mid-game and mid-week updates will be provided throughout the basketball season.
