Bison Women's Soccer Places 21 on Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Bison women's soccer team enjoyed yet another winning season in 2009, and it was an even better fall in the classroom as 21 student-athletes earned spots on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. Only American with 22 had more Honor Roll recipients than Bucknell, which placed better than 80 percent of its roster on the list.
Coach Ben Landis' squad compiled an incredible team grade-point average of 3.54 during the 2009 fall semester, one of the highest marks in the nation and the best of any of Bucknell's 27 varsity programs.
All three of Bucknell's co-captains made the list: Lauren Stoller (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge), Amanda Citron (Marshfield, Mass./Marshfield) and Molly Linhart (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel). Stoller, Meghan Fitzpatrick (Verona, N.J./Verona) and Rosemary Walker (Oakland, Calif./The College Prep) all produced perfect 4.0 GPAs.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must have achieved a 3.2 grade-point average in the fall semester.
