LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bucknell senior goalkeeper Kathryn Sutton (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville Area) picked up another honor on Wednesday when she was named to the CollegeSoccer360.com "Primetime Performers of the Week" list. Sutton was recognized for her terrific effort in shutting out Penn State on Sept. 23.
Sutton, who is also this week's Damon's Bison Athlete of the Week, tallied a career-high 11 saves in a scoreless tie against the Nittany Lions. It was her 13th career shutout, a new Bucknell program record. On Sunday she picked up a victory as the Bison won on the road at Cornell.
Sutton was listed among some elite company on the CollegeSoccer360.com list, as the other players recognized were from the likes of North Carolina, Duke, LSU, N.C. State, Cal State Fullerton, Michigan State, South Carolina, North Carolina State, Florida State, Washington, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, St. John's, South Florida and Missouri.
Bucknell is 5-5-1 on the season and will travel to American on Saturday for its Partiot League opener.
