LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell sophomore Minjoo Lee (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston) was named the Choice Hotels Big South Women's Golfer of the Week on Thursday after a record-setting performance at the Bison Fall Classic last weekend.
In the team's season opener, Lee shot a final-round 74 and broke the Bucknell 54-hole scoring record with a 228. Her final-round 74 on Sunday was one shot off the best round of the day in the entire field, and it came on the heels of a 78-76 performance in wet conditions a day earlier. Lee finished in sixth place individually and helped the Bison to a fourth-place team finish.
Lee's 228 total broke the Bucknell record by one shot. Amy Loughney previously set the mark with a 229 at the 2005 Big South Championship.
Lee is the first Bucknell player to earn Big South weekly honors since Loughney and Teri Schlang did so two weeks apart in October 2006.
The Bison are back in action this Saturday and Sunday at the Princeton Invitational.
