LEWISBURG, Pa. - With 16 more honorees than second-place Holy Cross, the Bucknell men's track and field team led the Patriot League with 37 Academic Honor Roll members, the league office announced Wednesday. Christopher Gabryluk (Bath, Pa./Northampton Area) and Kevin McGuire (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) garnered two of the eight 4.0 grade-point averages Patriot League men's track and field student-athletes posted this spring.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League's six winter or 10 spring championship sports.
Bucknell, which had 36 Academic Honor Roll selections last year and has led the league in honorees for more than a decade, produced nearly 30 percent of the 129 men's track and field members on the Academic Honor Roll.
