Bucknell Women's Swimming and Diving Welcomes Seven Recruits

LEWISBURG, Pa. - On Tuesday, Bucknell head men's and women's swimming and diving coach Dan Schinnerer announced the addition of seven recruits to the Bison women's program for the 2009-10 season. The seven members of the Class of 2013 hail from five different states and should bolster the roster of a team that finished third at the Patriot League Championships this past February.
"We are pleased with the class we are bringing in," mentioned Schinnerer, who mentored eight All-Patriot League athletes this past winter. "All the women will have an impact on the team, bolstering both our quality and our depth. In an ever-improving Patriot League, this class with help us continue to compete for championships."
The incoming freshmen will join a Bison squad that is losing five seniors to graduation, but returns all eight All-Patriot League honorees. Bucknell was 7-3, including 4-2 opposite Patriot League foes, in 2008-09.
