Bucknell's Alyssa DeLorenz Captures Third Patriot League Goalie of Week Award

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell sophomore Alyssa DeLorenz (Garland, Texas/Plano East) put her name on the Patriot League Women's Lacrosse Goalie of the Week Award for the third time in the last four weeks after another outstanding performance in a conference victory over American on Saturday.
DeLorenz finished with nine saves and allowed on four goals in Bucknell's 6-4 win over the Eagles. She surrendered only one goal in the final 56:24 of the game as the Bison fought back from an early 3-1 deficit and improved to 5-2 overall and 2-0 in the Patriot League this season.
DeLorenz now ranks second in the Patriot League in save percentage (.511) and saves per game (10.1) this season. She has stopped 71 shots and allowed 68 goals, but 33 of those goals against came in the two losses to Penn State and Duquesne. In Bucknell's five victories, DeLorenz has a terrific .611 save percentage, with 55 saves and only 35 goals against.
She has now earned league goalie of the week honors four times in her career.
Bucknell has already surpassed last year's Patriot League win total and is within one of its overall victory output from 2008. The Bison are back in action on Wednesday at home against Binghamton at 4 p.m.
