LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell women's lacrosse team continues its three-game road trip on Wednesday afternoon at Duquesne. Game time is 4 p.m. at Rooney Field in Pittsburgh. The Bison come in with a 4-1 record, including a 1-0 Patriot League mark after Saturday's come-from-behind, triple-overtime win at Lehigh. Duquesne is coming off its first win of the year, a 9-5 decision over Canisius. The Dukes 1-4 record is somewhat deceiving, though, as one of the losses is to No. 1 Northwestern and the others came against Notre Dame, Denver and Cincinnati.

Scouting Duquesne:
The Dukes have been outscored 73-41 this season, but 42 of those goals against came against Northwestern and Notre Dame, which are currently ranked No. 1 and No. 11 nationally.
Meghan Frederick leads the team in goals (9), assists (6) and points (15). Shannon Hadaway and Caitlin Colegrove have six goals apiece.
Hadaway tops the Dukes with 12 draw controls, while defender Mollie Montgomery has a team-high 13 ground balls.
William & Mary transfer Sara Beckstead has started four of the five games in goal for Duquesne. She has a .504 save percentage and a 13.75 goals-against average.
Series Notes:
Duquesne leads the all-time series 4-2, including a 12-9 win in Lewisburg last season.
Bucknell won the inaugural meeting 18-2 in 1997, but the Dukes have captured 4 of 5 since then. The Bison won the last meeting in Pittsburgh, 11-9 in 2007.
Bucknell is 1-2 all-time on Duquesne's home field.
In last year's game at Graham Field, neither team led by more than two goals for the first 56 minutes of the game, but Duquesne flipped a one-goal deficit into a three-goal win by scoring the final four goals of the game. Carol Donohue led the Bison with four goals and an assist, while Kat McNish had two goals and five assists for the Dukes.
Last Outing:
In a gritty come-from-behind effort, Bucknell scored the game's final five goals to rally for a 12-11 triple-overtime win at Lehigh on Saturday in the Patriot League opener for both teams. The Bison trailed 11-7 with 12 minutes to play before mounting a comeback. First, Bonnie Buechel scored to make it 11-8 with 11:44 remaining, then Carol Donohue exploded for three goals in a span of just 2:41, the last knotting the game at 11-11 with 5:20 to play. Goalie Alyssa DeLorenz saved the day in the second overtime period, stopping the high-scoring Lauren Dykstra on a free-position shot with 12 seconds left. In the third OT, Donohue drew multiple defenders and passed to Buechel, who came from the side of the net to pocket the game-winner with 27 seconds remaining.
Bison Bits:
On Tuesday Julia Braun was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week and Alyssa DeLorenz was named Patriot League Goalie of the Week.
Braun had eight draw controls and eight ground balls in the Lehigh win, the latter figure tying the school record. She captured Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second week in a row and now leads the Patriot League in ground balls (24) and ranks second in draw controls (16).
After her 13-save performance at Lehigh, DeLorenz now ranks second in the Patriot League in save percentage (.536) and saves per game (10.4), and she is third in the league in goals-against average (9.13).
Bonnie Buechel's team-leading 12 goals rank fifth in the Patriot League, and she leads the conference in game-winning goals with three.
Chelsea Peters and Buechel rank 1-2 in the league in free-position goals with six and four, respectively. Peters is 6-for-11 and Buechel 4-for-8.
A year ago the Bison allowed 13 goals per game, but in 2009 they are allowing just 9.8.
Bucknell is outscoring opponents 29-20 in the second half and overtime this season

Bucknell returns to Patriot League play on Saturday with another big road contest at American at 1 p.m. The Eagles defeated the Bison 16-9 last season in Lewisburg. This year, American is off to a 1-4 start (0-1 Patriot League) heading into Tuesday's game at Columbia. The Eagles fell to Colgate 18-6 on Saturday.
