Bucknell Tennis Invitational Canceled for Bad Weather

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell Tennis Invitational scheduled for Friday, Oct. 16 through Sunday, Oct. 18 has been canceled due to bad weather. The Bison will now have to wait until the spring season to continue their success on their home courts.
Since Bucknell last played, Dumitrita Iepuras (Chisinau, Moldova/Germantown Friends School) was named the Patriot League Player of the Month for September. The sophomore posted an 11-2 singles record and 3-3 doubles record through the first round of fall tournament play.
Bucknell will return to the courts next weekend. The women's squad will play in the ITA Regionals at Blacksburg, Va., Thursday, Oct. 22 through Saturday, Oct. 24. The men will also play in the ITA Regionals. Their tournament will run Friday, Oct. 23 through Monday, Oct. 26 in Norfolk, Va.
