Bucknell Swimming and Diving Hosts Lehigh Saturday

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell men's and women's swimming and diving teams will host Lehigh on Saturday in their final dual meets of the 2008-09 season. The meet will begin at 1 p.m. inside Kinney Natatorium.
Prior to the start of competition, Bucknell's 11 seniors (six men, five women) will be honored as part of Senior Day festivities. Despite the Senior Day celebration, the Bison will still be home next week for the Bison Invitational and Kinney Natatorium will serve as the host site of the Patriot League Championships next month.
Bucknell's men's team brings a 6-2 overall record into the weekend, but is coming off its first loss in more than two months at Columbia on Sunday. The Bison are 4-1 against Patriot League competition and are looking to defeat Lehigh for the second consecutive year after dropping a tight 154-146 decision to the Mountain Hawks two years ago at Kinney Natatorium. That was Bucknell's last loss to a Patriot League foe other than Navy.
The Bison women's squad is 6-3 overall and 3-2 against Patriot League opponents. Bucknell won its first five meets by an average score of 202-95, but has dropped three of its last four. However, the Bison posted a convincing 180-96 home win over Patriot League foe Army last Saturday and they have not lost to Lehigh since 2000, a string of eight consecutive victories.
Both Lehigh's men and women are 6-4 overall and 3-1 against Patriot League opponents this season.
