BARBADOS REPORT #3 - from the perspective of the Sophomore Class
Hi Everyone...
Sunday, also known as FUN DAY, we played our third and final game of the trip. We played the Barbados Junior Nationals again and this time the Bison came away with a resounding 5-0 win. It was a great experience as we "moved the ball well and worked the field well." In addition, we were quite proud that we didn't give up any defensive penalty corners and were very pleased with how "well we moved the ball." After the game we rushed back to the resort for a quick shower and off to dinner at McBride's. Sunday night was "Techno Night" at McBride's and after a wonderful meal, we hit the dance floors once again. Following a second night of dancing with the locals, we were home to bed for an early morning wake up call for our final sightseeing event of the trip - the Catamaran Cruise. We boarded the bus on Monday morning en route to our dock to meet our captain of the Tiami II Cruise and his shipmates. Our cruise offered three stops - the first time was to snorkle around a shipwreck where we saw beautifully colored coral and fish; the second stop was to swim with the sea turtles which came really close to us and we all thought that was "pretty cool"; and our final stop included canonball jumping off the Catamaran, swimming in the crystal clear water and "chillin" on the sandy beaches.
We had such a great time on this trip we have decided to end our report with a little poem about Barbados:
Barbados was full of fun,
they warned us about the sun.
The water had lots of rocks,
so Tiff told us to wear water socks.
We ventured into the Bajan culture,
and were chased by a green-tongue man like a vulture.
The competition had a unique style of play,
but we worked hard and won on the first and last day.
Our trip is over and we're writing this at Chili's,
we enjoyed our meal and will soon be landing in Phili.
