Bucknell Track and Field Wraps Up ECAC/IC4A Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Bucknell men's and women's track and field teams finished competition at the ECAC and IC4A Championships on Sunday afternoon at Princeton.
After notching the third-fastest time in Bucknell history in the prelim (8:56.96), Bucknell's 4x800 relay squad comprised of junior Megan Hathaway (North Tonowanda, N.Y./Niagara Wheatfield), sophomore Allison Janda (Plymouth, Mich./Salem), junior Jenny Dalzell (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) and sophomore Jennifer Pierce (Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J./Northern Highlands) clocked a time of 9:10.60 to place seventh in the final.
Junior Kevin Macleod (East Longmeadow, Mass./East Longmeadow) won his heat in the prelim for the 400-meter hurdles with the second-fastest time in Bucknell history (51.91). He went on to place fourth in the final with an NCAA East Regional standard of 51.87, and the fastest time in Bucknell history.
Sophomore Amy Mantush (Drums, Pa./Hazleton) competed in the triple jump, posting a distance of 36-11 ¾ for 27th place.
For the men, sophomore Kyle Anthony (Barryville, N.Y./Eldred Central) competed in the triple jump, posting a distance of 47-6 ½ for 15th. In the shot put, sophomore Timothy Medlock (Evan Mills, N.Y./Indian River) finished in 25th with a distance of 46-2 1/2.
Bucknell is now set to send qualifiers to the NCAA East Regional Championships, May 31-June 1.
