Bucknell Swimming & Diving Competes at ECAC Championships

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Four members of the Bucknell swimming and diving team competed in the ECAC Championships at the University of Pittsburgh this weekend. In action for the Bison men were sophomore Luke Trafton (Bath, Maine/Morse), sophomore Ben Leboza (Green Oaks, Ill./Libertyville) and junior Jeffrey Manning (Bringhurst, Ind./Carroll Jr./Sr. High), while freshman Sinead O'Dwyer (Green River, Wyo./The Peddie School (N.J.)) represented the Bison women.
Trafton, Leboza and Manning combined to score 67 points, landing the Bison 13th out of 26 schools in the final team standings. Trafton won the 1,650 free to lead the way for the Orange and Blue, reaching the wall in 15 minutes, 47.89 seconds. He also scored in the 200 free taking eighth in 1:45.67, just behind Leboza who finished seventh with a time of 1:43.20.
Manning qualified for both diving finals. He placed seventh on both the one-meter and three-meter boards with scores of 224.30 and 227.00, respectively.
On the women's side, O'Dwyer totaled 12 points, capturing eighth in the 400 IM with a time of 4:39.27 and 16th in the 100 back with a time of 1:02.55. She swam the 1,650 free, as well, finishing in 18:16.95 to place 20th.
