Bucknell Men's and Women's Tennis Matches At Villanova Cancelled

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell's men's and women's tennis matches at Villanova, scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, have been cancelled due to weather. The Bison were scheduled to have a two-match week against Fairleigh Dickinson at home on Tuesday afternoon and against Villanova on the road, Wednesday afternoon. Both matches were cancelled due to rain; the match against Fairleigh Dickinson will played on Friday, March 21, at 12:30 p.m. at Bucknell's Varsity Tennis Courts. The women's match against Villanova will be played Monday, March 31, and the men's match has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 2.
The Bucknell men's tennis team is currently 6-3 on the season and is on a four-match winning streak. Most recently, the Orange and Blue played in Hilton Head, S.C., for spring break, and picked up a 6-1 win over Robert Morris on March 10, a 7-0 win over Southern Indiana on March 12, and a 7-0 win over Winston-Salem State on March 14. The Bison women are 4-5 on the season and have won their past three consecutive matches. In Hilton Head, S.C., for spring break, the Orange and Blue defeated Northwestern (Minn.), 7-0, on March 11, and Winston-Salem State, 7-0, on March 14.
Looking ahead, both the men's and women's tennis teams will travel to Emmitsburg, Md. on March 25, to take on Mount St. Mary's at 3 p.m.
