Bucknell Field Hockey Recognized By NFHCA For Academic Acheivements

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell field hockey team was recognized by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) on Monday, for posting a team grade point average above 3.00 during the 2007 season. Additionally, 14 Bison players were named to the ZAG/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad.
Earlier this year, the Bison had 15 student-athletes earn a spot on the Patriot League's Academic Honor Roll, recording a 3.20 GPA or higher during the fall semester. Senior Katie Leinen (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) was one of two student-athletes on the list (along with Lafayette's Meghan Cicchi) to post a 4.0 grade-point average for the fall semester and senior Kelly Hoffman (Boyertown, Pa./Oley Valley) was named field hockey's Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
To be selected to the ZAG/NFHCA Division I Academic Squad, a student-athlete must post a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 or higher. The following are Bison field hockey players who were recognized by the NFHCA for their academic achievements on Monday:
