LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell takes a breather from Patriot League play on Wednesday evening when St. Peter's visits Holmes Stadium for a non-conference game. The contest begins at 7 p.m., and live streaming video will be available on Bison Vision All-Access.
The Bison are coming off a tough 1-0 loss to Colgate on Saturday, its only home setback of the season, and now stand 5-6-3 overall and 2-2 in the PL. The Peacocks, a 2007 NCAA Tournament at-large pick who defeated the Bison 2-1 last season, are 6-5-2 overall and 2-2 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
This will be Bucknell's second-to-last home game of the regular season. The Bison host NJIT next Tuesday. Each of the team's last three Patriot League games are on the road (at Lafayette, Lehigh and American) against teams also in the playoff chase.
The top four teams in the Patriot League qualify for the postseason tournament, and Bucknell currently sits in that No. 4 spot with the three league games still to come.

- Six of Bucknell's eight series wins are by one goal, with two coming in overtime.
- In last season's game, St. Peter's scored just before and just after halftime to go up 2-0. Corey Curnutte scored for the Bison in the 81st minute, but it wasn't enough.
- Alex Russo scored the only goal in Bucknell's most recent series win in 2006.

Last Time Out
- On Saturday at Holmes Stadium, the Bison fell to Colgate 1-0 when Chris Ross put back a rebound in the 17th minute.
- The Bison suffered a tough blow in the opening minute of the game when red-hot goal-scorer Mark Schmiegel was injured in a collision with the Raiders goalkeeper. Schmiegel played sparingly the rest of the day, and the Bison offense had a tough time generating chances against the defending Patriot League champs.
- Colgate outshot Bucknell 17-14, but the Bison had an 8-5 edge in the second half.
- Schmiegel, Conor O'Brien and Anthony Ferraro led the team with three shot attempts each.
- Tommy Caso finished with three saves, while the defense was credited with three team saves.
Bison Briefs
- Bucknell owned the nation's longest goal-scoring streak for about six days. The previous owner of that distinction, No. 13 UC Santa Barbara, saw its 31-game streak come to an end a week earlier with a 2-0 loss to co-No. 13 UC Davis. That meant that Bucknell's 28-game scoring streak was the tops in all of Division I soccer, but that run ended with Saturday's 1-0 loss to Colgate.
- The last time the Bison were shut out was all the way bacl on Sept. 11, 2007, a 1-0 loss to Binghamton.
- It had been nearly a full year since the Bison dropped a home game before falling to Colgate on Saturday. Bucknell had been 5-0-1 in its last six home contests, dating back to a 2-1 loss to Lafayette on Oct. 27, 2007.
- Bucknell had played a school-record five consecutive overtime games, going 2-2-1 over that span, before the Colgate game ended in regulation.
- The Bison have also played in seven total overtime contests this season. The school record for OT games in a season is eight, set in 2000.
- Chris Hennings remains the Patriot League leader in both goals (7) and points (17).
- Mark Schmiegel is third in the league in goals per game and sixth in points per game.
- Conor O'Brien is fourth in the PL in assists per game and seventh in points per game.
- Tommy Caso is second in the PL in saves per game.
- As a team, Bucknell ranks second in goals per game at 1.57, trailing only Lehigh (1.62).
