Bison Women's Golfers Shoot 320 in Round One at Richmond

MIDLOTHIAN, Va. -- The Bucknell women' golf team opened with a round of 320 at the Richmond Spider Invitational on Monday afternoon at Independence Country Club. A pair of 79s from freshmen Minjoo Lee (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston) and Brittany Rendell (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier) paced the Bison, who are in ninth place out of 14 teams with another round still to come on Tuesday.
Also for the Bison, local product Kelsey Meybin (Midlothian, Va./Saint Gertrude) shot an 80, Leah Antkiewicz (Aliquippa, Pa./Quigley Catholic) posted an 82 and Deirdre Moran (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Academy of Notre Dame) carded an 83.
Wofford took the first-round lead with a 295 team total, three better than Columbia. Longwood and Maryland are tied for third at 305, followed by Richmond (309), William & Mary (309), Towson (315), High Point (319), Bucknell (320), Morehead State (322), Brown (329), Methodist (330), Old Dominion (330) and Marshall (331).
Stevy Loy of Columbia and Alex Rankin of Wofford have a share of the individual lead after firing 2-under-par 70s. Sarah Hurt of Wofford is one shot off the pace. Bucknell's Lee and Rendell are tied for 29th.
The final round begins Tuesday at 8 a.m.
