Bucknell Field Hockey Places 15 on Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell field hockey team had 15 student-athletes named to the 2007 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the league announced Wednesday. Senior Katie Leinen (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) was one of two student-athletes on the list (along with Lafayette's Meghan Cicchi) to post a 4.0 grade-point average for the fall semester. Senior Kelly Hoffman (Boyertown, Pa./Oley Valley) was named field hockey's Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and be awarded a varsity letter in their respective sport.
Of the 65 student-athletes named to the honor roll, Bucknell and American both recorded a league-best 15 members on the list. Colgate and Lafayette each had 11, followed by Lehigh (8) and Holy Cross (5).
