LEWISBURG, Pa. - Junior Amanda Faust (Kingston, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) was tabbed for Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week Honors today, after leading the Bucknell field hockey team to an 8-2 victory over Monmouth in the home opener last Saturday.
Faust had a five-point game against the Hawks, netting two goals and posting one assist. In the 41st minute of play, Faust fed the ball to sophomore Megan Krebs (Wilkes Barre, Pa./GAR Memorial) following a scramble after a corner to bring the Bison ahead of the Hawks, 5-1.
At 52:29 into the contest, Faust went unassisted off her own rebound to score her first goal of the game and of the season. She went on to put the last Bison tally on the board off assists from sophomore Austin Thomas (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock) and junior Katie Ruiz (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg) at 62:37, bringing the final score to 8-2.

Last season, Faust was named All-Patriot League first team. In her freshman season, she received All-Patriot League second team honors and was Patriot League Rookie of the Year.
