LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Bucknell men's lacrosse team, coming off an 11-4 season in which it was ranked in the nation's top 20 for most of the year, placed 16 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced today. That figure tied Lafayette for most in the league.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter.
The Bison team combined for a solid 3.04 GPA this spring. Freshman defenseman Scott Monfort led the way with an outstanding 3.92 average. Senior Steve Case was the lone Bison to make both the Academic Honor Roll and the All-Patriot League Team this season.
Elsewhere around the league, Lehigh had 12 men's lax athletes earn Honor Roll consideration, Colgate had 11, Army had 10 and Navy and Holy Cross eight each.
