LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Eight of the 10 members of the Bucknell women's golf roster earned spots on the Big South Conference Presidential Honor Roll, the league office announced this week.
Bucknell's eight selections equaled High Point for the most in the conference. Birmingham Southern and Radford claimed six each, Holy Cross, Coastal Carolina and Winthrop had five apiece, and Charleston Southern had one.
In order to qualify for the Presidential Honor Roll, student-athletes must have earned a combined 3.0 grade-point average during the 2006-07 academic year.
One Bucknell student-athlete -- junior Kathryn Batchelor -- produced a perfect 4.0 GPA. Amy Loughney, a two-time All-Big South honoree who majors in biomedical engineering, also made the Honor Roll. They helped the Bison team produce a sparkling 3.59 team GPA during the 200 spring semester.
Also earning Big South Presidential Honor Roll recognition were senior Laura Bentzen, junior Emily Chiodo, sophomore Laura Fisher, senior Meredith Kalman, freshman Lexie Orr and senior Teri Schlang.
