LEWISBURG, Pa. - Inclement weather has once again forced the Bucknell baseball team to move its second doubleheader against Lafayette as the squads were originally slated to play on Sunday. Games three and four were initially rescheduled for Monday afternoon, however, they have been postponed again and are now set for a 1 p.m. start tomorrow, Tuesday, Apr. 17, on Depew Field.
The Bison are currently 13-16 on the season and sit third in the Patriot League standings with a 5-5 record. Senior Ryan Gryskevicz (Dallas, Pa./Dallas) holds a squad-best .346 batting average and 18 RBI to go along with 13 runs scored, eight doubles, one triple and two home runs. Junior Mathew Wilson (Toronto, Ontario/Northern S.S.), who is scheduled to throw in game three of the series with the Leopards, leads Bucknell's starters with a 1.77 ERA, a 3-2 record and has held opponents to a .188 batting average this season.
This week, the Bison will have a full slate of games as the squad will travel to Temple on Wednesday, Apr. 18, for a 3:30 p.m., contest and will be making a weekend trip to Worcester, Mass., Apr. 21-22, for its Patriot League series against Holy Cross.
