BUCKNELL HEAD COACH Pat Flannery:
"It was a typical Bucknell-Holy Cross type of game. Both teams play so hard, and it could have gone either way. We had chances once we got it tied. [Keith] Simmons and [Torey] Thomas hit some big shots for them."
"Nobody is going to take away from us the way we battled back in the second half. I was so proud of how hard we worked. We never quit, and that is a testament to our three seniors [Abe Badmus, Donald Brown, Chris McNaughton].
"We upped the defensive pressure in the second half, a little out of desperation since we were so far behind. Once we got back in it our crowd gave us a lift, but we just couldn't get over the hump."
BUCKNELL SENIOR Donald Brown:
On the second-half comeback: "Chris, Abe and me thought it might be our last chance to wear this uniform again, so we knew we had to step it up. I was proud of the way we never quit."
BUCKNELL SOPHOMORE Justin Castleberry:
"We had the mindset that we had to keep shooting even though some weren't going down early and let the percentages even out."
"Our guards did a very good job of making the extra pass, which gave us some good open looks from the corner."
