LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell's 16th-ranked men's lacrosse team will host No. 4 Navy in a key Patriot League showdown on Sunday afternoon at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium, and fans not able to make the game in person will be able to watch a live online video feed free of charge.
PC users can access the broadband coverage HERE.
Doug Birdsong will call the play-by-play, with Hall of Fame Bison lacrosse coach Sid Jamieson providing color analysis. Coverage begins at 1 p.m.
As with all Bison spring athletics events, admission is free for Sunday's Bucknell-Navy game.
The Bison are 6-1 on the season heading into Tuesday night's Patriot League game at Lafayette. Bucknell boasts the Patriot League leaders in goals (Joe Mele, 18) and assists (Austin Winter, 17) to go along with a defense that is allowing only 6.25 goals per game.
Navy is 6-0 on the season after a 12-2 rout of Holy Cross in Dallas, Texas over the weekend. The Midshipmen, who host Colgate on Wednesday afternoon, feature All-Americans at attack (Ian Dingman), midfield (Billy Looney) and defense (Jordan DiNola). While Bucknell currently ranks fifth nationally in scoring defense, Navy ranks No. 1, allowing only 4.5 goals per game.
The last time these two teams met at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium, Bucknell stunned then-No. 2 Navy 8-7 in overtime on March 12, 2005. Last season Navy won 9-5 at The First 4 event in San Diego.
