WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Freshmen Chelsea Peters (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y./Cold Spring Harbor) and Carol Donahue (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon) scored four goals each and the Bucknell women's lacrosse team emphatically posted its first victory of the season, 18-5 over Long Island on an 80-degree evening in the Sunshine State.
Playing for the first time in nine days, the Bison also received three goals and an assist from sophomore Sarah Collins (Goldens Bridge, N.Y./John Jay) and improved to 1-3 on the season. LIU fell to 0-3.

Co-captains Lauren Kremer (Chadds Ford, Pa./Unionville) and Lauren Deitrich (Collegeville, Pa./Hill School) along with sophomores Bonnie Buechel (South Orange, N.J./Columbia) and Katlyn Recchia (Towson, Md./Towson) tallied once apiece.
Deitrich was responsible for four of Bucknell's 19 caused turnovers in an outstanding team defensive effort. The Bison also won 19 of the 25 draw controls and picked up a season-high 27 ground balls. Freshman goalie Katie Hartsock (Wayne, Pa./Conestoga) finished with nine saves.
