Bucknell's Manning Named Patriot League Male Diver of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell men's swimming and diving sophomore Jeffrey Manning (Bringhurst, Ind./Carroll Jr./Sr. High) was honored for his performance at the Bison Invitational last Saturday as he was named the Patriot League's Male Diver of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday. The award was the first of his career and the first by a member of the Bison men's squad this season.
In the non-scored Bison Invitational, Manning swept the diving portion of the competition. He moved up to second in Bucknell history with career-best mark of 270.90 to take first on the one-meter board, while winning three-meter diving with a score of 268.60.
The sophomore is currently ranked in the top-10 in the Patriot League for both diving events heading into the 2007 Patriot League Championships. The three-day PL meet will be held in Bucknell's Kinney Natatorium beginning on Thursday, Feb. 15, with the first session slated to begin at 10:30 a.m.
