LEWISBURG, Pa. - In its first weekly awards of the 2007 softball season, the Patriot League recognized a pair of Bison on Tuesday. Senior catcher Lauren Litts (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg) was named Player of the Week for her performance at the Charlotte Green and White Tournament the weekend of Feb. 17-18. Additionally, freshman third baseman Mary Pavlovich (Johnstown, Pa./Richland) earned Rookie of the Week accolades.
Litts earned the Player of the Week honor after hitting .500 in four games in Charlotte. She was 7-for-14 with three doubles, one home run and eight runs batted in. Litts' four-hit game in an 8-5 victory over Eastern Kentucky was the first of her career, while she also knocked in four runs in that contest, marking the fourth time in her career she has accomplished that feat.

In a doubleheader split with Eastern Kentucky, Pavlovich managed a pair of multiple-hit games. Her home run, a three-run shot, cut the Bison deficit to two runs in the fifth inning against North Carolina A&T.
On its opening weekend of play, Bucknell went 1-3 at the Charlotte Green and White Tournament. After having this past weekend off, the Bison return to action this coming weekend at the Elon Classic. They are slated to play two games on both Saturday and Sunday.
