Two Bucknell Men's Soccer Players Earn Weekly Awards

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell men's soccer seniors Joey Kuterbach (Kingwood, Texas/Kingwood) and Justin Wolf (Bartlett, Ill./Bartlett) each picked up a weekly award on Monday after helping lead the Bison to a 3-0 victory over American that clinched a Patriot League Tournament berth. Kuterbach was named the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week for the third time this season, while Wolf copped Damon's Bison Athlete of the Week for the second time.
Kuterbach made four saves against American to record his career high-tying eighth shutout of the season. He now has 18 in his career to stand fourth on the Bison career list, just one shy of third-place Mark Wrigley. Kuterbach has totaled 71 saves this year and has a career-best 0.75 goals-against average. His career goals-against average is now 0.90, good for fifth in Patriot League history. Additionally, Kuterbach now has 232 career saves to put him tied for seventh in Bison annals.

Thanks to Saturday's victory over the Eagles, Bucknell earned the third seed in the Patriot League Tournament, which will be held this coming weekend in Worcester, Mass. The Bison will play No. 2 Colgate at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, while the championships match will be contested on Sunday, Nov. 18, at 2 p.m. Bucknell won the title last year as the No. 4 seed and Kuterbach earned MVP honors.
