Bucknell Student-Athletes Pay Visit to Local Elementary School

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Four Bucknell student-athletes from the women's soccer and field hockey programs paid a visit to Kelly Elementary School this in Lewisburg this Thursday afternoon. The trip was one of several made by the Bison this fall through Bucknell's student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC).
Senior Leslie Schulze (Brookeville, Md./Sherwood), sophomore Erin Lavery (Huntington, W. Va./Huntington) and freshman Rosemary Walker (Oakland, Calif./The College Prep) from the women's soccer team and senior Kelly Hoffman (Boyertown, Pa./Oley Valley) of the field hockey squad spent recess with the students, playing games and talking with the children about their respective sports.
Bucknell women's soccer will be in action at home this Friday evening, Oct. 5, as the Orange and Blue will take on Navy at 7 p.m., while the Bison field hockey team will play twice in Lewisburg this weekend, on Saturday at 12 p.m., versus American and on Sunday at 1 p.m., against Penn.
