Bucknell Notes
- Bucknell defeated Army last Saturday, extending its unbeaten streak to seven matches. It is the longest the Bison have gone without a loss since posting an eight-match unbeaten streak last year. That was the third-longest unbeaten stretch in the history of the program.
- Bucknell is undefeated through three Patriot League games for the second consecutive year, and for the fourth time overall. The Bison opened league play 2-0-1 last year and 3-0-0 in 2000. The 2003 squad breezed through the conference campaign 5-0-2.
- The Bison have played well on the road of late, having won three straight away matches. Bucknell is 3-2-1 on the road overall this season. In 14 road games last year, the Bison posted just four victories.
- Senior goalkeeper Joey Kuterbach recorded his fifth shutout of the season last Saturday at Army. He is ranked second in the Patriot League in that category. The Kingwood, Texas, native stands fourth in the conference in saves (40) and goals-against average (0.73). Kuterbach earned Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week honors for his efforts.
- In addition to picking up his fifth shutout of the season last week, Kuterbach recorded the 15th of his career. He is now tied for fourth place on Bucknell's career list with Kevin Meyer.
- Senior Corey Curnutte netted the lone goal of the game on a penalty kick in the opening minutes. It was his third score of the season, tying him with Mark Schmiegel for second on the team behind Justin Wolf. Curnutte now has four career goals and 16 career points.
- Bucknell has a six-game unbeaten streak against Patriot League foes dating back to last year. The Bison are 3-0-3 over that stretch, including a pair of ties in last season's Patriot League Tournament.
- With four ties this year, Bucknell has posted 10 in the last two years, equaling the program record for ties in a two-year stretch. Additionally, the Bison have registered 14 ties in the last three seasons, by far the most in any three-year stretch. The previous high was nine.
About the Series with Colgate
- Sunday's match will be the 32nd meeting in the series between Bucknell and Colgate. The Raiders hold a 20-7-4 edge, but the last five games have been even. The Bison won in 2002 and 2003 by 1-0 scores, while Colgate captured 1-0 victories in 2004 and 2005. Last year the two teams tied 1-1 at Varsity Soccer Field
About Colgate
