LEWISBURG, Pa. - After posting a 2-0-0 record last week with league wins over Holy Cross and Army, four members of the Bucknell women's soccer were honored for their performances in the pair of victories as senior Krista Lee Gentile (North Haledon, N.J./Immaculate Heart Academy), sophomore Kathryn Sutton (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville Area), freshman Kelliann Doherty (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern Regional) and junior Jennifer Dervarics (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) all collected weekly awards on Monday.
Gentile was named the Patriot League BRINE Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time in her career as she totaled eight points over two matches. In the 5-0 victory over the Crusaders on Friday evening, she notched the game-winning goal and finished the contest with a season-high five points. Then on Saturday, she had a hand in both tallies for the Bison, helping the squad to a come-from-behind 2-1 win over the Black Knights with a goal and an assist.
Sutton earned her second consecutive Patriot League BRINE Goalkeeper of the Week award, her third of the season, after earning the decision in both matches for Bucknell last week. Her shutout over Holy Cross was her fourth of the year, bringing her to within one of the program's single season record. She made three saves against the Crusaders and followed up with seven versus Army, finishing with a total of 10 on the weekend for a .909 save percentage while also posting a 0.50 goals against average.
Doherty picked up her second Patriot League BRINE Rookie of the Week accolade after scoring the game-winning goal for the Bison in the 30th minute against the Black Knights. She now has five goals and an assist on the season for a total of 11 points.
Dervarics was selected as the Bison Athlete of the Week for the second time in her career in honor of her seven-point game against Holy Cross, which set a new career high for the forward and was just two shy of the Bucknell single game record. Dervarics posted her first career hat trick in the contest and dished an assist, as well.
The Bison, who are currently 7-6-0, 3-0-0 in the Patriot League, will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 20, when the squad will travel to Hamilton, N.Y., for a 7 p.m. league match against Colgate.
