LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell senior midfielder Justin Wolf (Bartlett, Ill./Bartlett) was named the Damon's Bison Athlete of the Week on Monday after scoring the game-winning goal in the Bison men's soccer team's victory at Navy on Saturday. The goal was the third in four games for Wolf, who leads the team in scoring with three goals and two assists this season.
Wolf, a co-captain, netted his goal at the 17:56 mark to put Bucknell up 1-0. The Bison then held on to extend their unbeaten streak to four games, adding an insurance goal in the final minute.
Wolf has now tallied goals in three of Bucknell's last four games. He has five career scores, all coming in the last two years. Additionally, Wolf has 10 career assists, just three shy of showing up on the program's top-10 list. His 20 career points are the most of any current Bison.
Bucknell's win over Navy on Saturday helped it improve to 3-3-3 overall and 1-0-0 in Patriot League play as it won its league opener for the fifth consecutive season.
Wolf and the Bison will be in action Tuesday, Oct. 2, when they host La Salle at Varsity Soccer Field at 7 p.m.
