LEWISBURG, Pa. - Bucknell women's swimming and diving freshmen Courtney Warren (Montour Falls, N.Y./Watkins Glen) and Eliza Massie (Rochester, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland) were recognized by the Patriot League office with weekly awards on Tuesday. Warren was named the league's Female Swimmer of the Week, while Massie earned Female Diver of the Week honors.
Warren was one of two individual winners for the Bison in the team's non-scored meet at Princeton with James Madison last Saturday, taking first in the 50 back with a time of 27.77, the best time by a member of the Orange and Blue in the event this season. She also helped Bucknell to second-place finishes in the 200 medley relay and 350 free relay, combining with her teammates to post times of 1:50.74 and 3:05.75, respectively.
At the same meet, Massie was the top finisher for the Bison on the boards as she scored 246.52 points to take fourth in the one-meter, while her mark of 257.54 was good for fifth in the three-meter. Both performances were personal bests. Her one-meter, six optionals mark ranks second in the program's record book, while her three-meter total is tops on the three-meter, six optionals list.
Bucknell returns home on Saturday, Jan. 13, when the Bison will play host to Patriot League foes Army and Colgate in Kinney Natatorium, beginning at 2 p.m.
