LEWISBURG, Pa. - After being honored by the Patriot League on Tuesday, Bucknell women's swimming and diving freshmen Courtney Warren (Montour Falls, N.Y./Watkins Glen) and Eliza Massie (Rochester, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland) each picked up another award on Wednesday as Warren was named the ECAC Female Swimmer of the Week, while Massie earned Female Diver of the Week honors from the ECAC.
In the squad's non-scored meet at Princeton with James Madison last Saturday, Warren was one of two individual winners for the Bison, taking first in the 50 back with a time of 27.77, the best time by a member of the Orange and Blue in the event this season. She also helped Bucknell to second-place finishes in the 200 medley relay and 350 free relay, combining with her teammates to post times of 1:50.74 and 3:05.75, respectively.
Massie was the top finisher for the Bison on the boards at the same meet. She notched two personal-best scores as her total of 246.52 points was good for fourth in the one-meter and her mark of 257.54 was fifth in the three-meter. In the Bucknell record book, her one-meter, six optionals mark ranks second, while her three-meter total is tops on the three-meter, six optionals list.
The Bison will be back in action on Saturday, Jan. 13, when the team returns home to Kinney Natatorium to take on Patriot League foes Army and Colgate beginning at 2 p.m.
