LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell women's soccer team will add seven recruits to its roster for the 2006 season, head coach Ben Landis announced on Monday. Chelsea Brinkman, Erin Lavery, Molly Linhart, Chelsea McGorry, Sarah Seltzer, Lauren Stoller and Kathryn Sutton have all signed on as members of Bucknell's Class of 2010.
The class is comprised of two players from Pennsylvania, a forward and a goalkeeper, and a midfielder from Florida, a forward/midfielder from Massachusetts, a defender from New Jersey, a goalkeeper from Texas and a defender from West Virginia.
"I'm very excited about this group of players and the class as a whole as they represent my first full recruiting class at Bucknell University while also fulfilling our recruiting needs after the graduation of our ten seniors," said Landis. "Our amazing new facility, continued strong support of our program, and desire to reach new levels of competitive success on a recruiting front in addition to our team's performance have all combined to enable us the opportunity to attract such talented players. Their individual talents and presence as a whole will impact our team immediately as we've been able to secure a great group of leaders, scholars, and athletes."
Brinkman is a midfielder from Clearwater, Fla., out of Palm Harbor University High School where she will graduate as valedictorian of her class. She played club soccer with the Countryside Lightning.
Lavery, a defender, hails from Huntington, W.V., and was a four-time All-Conference and All-State player who helped her team at Huntington High School to a state championship. She was also a four-time club state champion with the West Virginia United Vision and played for the West Virginia ODP state team.

McGorry comes to Bucknell as a forward/midfielder out of Charlton, Mass., where she was a Central Massachusetts All-Star and Massachusetts All-State standout for Shepherd Hill High School. McGorry, who played club soccer for the Boston Renegades, was a member of the 2004 Super Y national championship semifinalist team and the second-place squad at the 2005 US Club national championships. She also played for the SYL North American Finals ODP select team.
Seltzer is a goalkeeper from Dallas, Texas, and played for a three-time state championship team at Ursuline Academy where she was a high school All-State selection. As a member of the Dallas Texans Red North, she helped her squad to a club state championship and the team is first in the most recent Soccer America rankings.
Stoller is a native of Basking Ridge, N.J., where she was a Star-Ledger All-State Second Team defender for Ridge High School and an NSCAA Regional All-American. As a member of the PDA Wildcats, currently the No. 2 team in the national Soccer America rankings, she won a New Jersey club state championship. Stoller was also a part of a USYS national championship team in 2003, semifinalist squad in 2004, and finalist in 2005.
Sutton is an All-Conference First Team goalkeeper out of Coatesville, Pa. She played for Coatesville Area High school and for the club team FC Delco.
These seven incoming players will look to help Bucknell defend its 2005 Patriot League Championship and make a return to the NCAA Tournament. The Bison, who finished 2005 with a record of 11-9-1, 4-3-0 in the Patriot League, will open their 2006 season against Temple at the Temple Tournament in Ambler, Pa., on August 25 at 4 p.m. The squad will make its home debut on September 17, against Robert Morris at 1 p.m. Two weeks later on September, 30, will play host to Colgate in the first Patriot League game of the season, which is set for a 7 p.m. start.
