LEWISBURG, Pa. - Sophomore Ira Reibeisen (Armonk, N.Y./Rye Country Day-Upper), of Bucknell men's tennis, was awarded with 2006 First Team All-Patriot League honors, the league office announced on Monday afternoon. Reibeisen's first-team nod is the Bison's first all-league honor in seven years.
Reibeisen compiled a 2006 dual-match PL singles record of 3-3 at the No. 1 spot and a doubles record of 3-3, also at No. 1, partnered with senior Asher Salam. Overall, the Armonk, N.Y., native turned in a spring record of 8-11 in singles and 8-11 in doubles, both in the No. 1 spot.
Looking at his career stats, Reibeisen has compiled a singles record of 35-25 and a doubles record of 25-28. His singles record ties him for 21st on Bucknell's all-time career victories list. His combined singles-doubles wins total of 60 currently places him 19th on the combined all-time list.
The Bison have not seen all-league representation since T.K. Kelly and Steve Bomberger received recognition back in 1999.
In 2006, the Orange and Blue turned in an overall record of 7-13, 1-5 in the PL.
