Bucknell Track and Field Completes Action at ECAC/IC4A Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. - Action for Bucknell track and field ended on Sunday afternoon at the ECAC/IC4A Championships, at the William Weaver Track and Field Stadium in Princeton, N.J. Junior Christa Sawko (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) turned in a fourth-place finish in the 800-meter run with an overall time of 2 minutes, 10.33 seconds.
Sawko's time represents her second-best of the season and her fourth-place ranking was the Bison's best finish on the day.
In other results, junior Joshua Kaehler (Hanover, Pa./South Western) took fifth in the javelin with a heave of 207 feet, 3 inches.
Junior Ann Doty (Punxsutawney, Pa./Punxsutawney) took 16th in the triple jump with a leap of 38-7, while senior Dan Frake (Northport, N.Y./Northport) took 16th in the shot put, tossing 49-10.
Overall, the men placed 31st, with 10 points, while the women took 17th with 19. George Mason won the men's event with 59 total points and Pittsburgh took the women's title with 87.
The Orange and Blue will have two weeks off before competing in the NCAA Eastern Regionals on May 26-27.
