Bucknell Women's Swimming and Diving Lands 12 on All-League Teams

LEWISBURG, Pa. - A league-best 12 student-athletes from the 2006 Patriot League Champion Bucknell women's swimming and diving squad were named to the First and Second All-Patriot League teams for the highest total by a women's swimming and diving squad in Patriot League history. The Bison posted six first team selections and six second team selections, while Colgate followed with nine total All-League members.
Senior Lectie Altman (Syracuse, N.Y./William Nottingham) and junior Katherine Munson (New Fairfield, Conn./New Fairfield) both earned sports on the All-League First Team by virtue of individual championships. Altman won her third-career gold in the 200 back while Munson set a new program record for the Orange and Blue to take first in the 200 fly.
Also named to the first team for Bucknell based on points scored in the meet were juniors Rebecca Scheffter (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore) (48 points), Nikki Woodward (Longmeadow, Mass./Longmeadow) (44), Carlyn Donley (Pittsburgh, Pa./Oakland Catholic) (43) and Laura Goeller (Wilmington, Del./Tower Hill School) (41).
Sophomore Meghan Brown (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) was named to the All-League Second Team after placing second in the 1650 free. Joining Brown on the second team were classmates Katalin Lyons (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central Regional) with 36 points, Brittany Neligan (Hempstead, N.Y./Sacred Heart Academy) with 30 points, senior Mary Krakowski (Erie, Pa./McDowell) with 29.5 points and freshmen Ally St. Claire (Silver Spring, Md./Edmund Burke) and Nikki Seaman (Cleveland, Ohio/The Hawken School) with 28 points apiece.
The Bison women's swimming and diving team won its fourth-straight title last month with 744.5 points, ahead of Colgate in second with 731 and Navy in third with 516.5.
