Bison Women's Lacrosse Picks Up Second Patriot League Honor of the Season

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell women's lacrosse program earned its second Patriot League weekly award of 2006 as senior goalkeeper Lizzy McDaniel (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) received Defensive Player of the Week honors for her performance in the 6-5 double-overtime loss to Virginia Tech on Saturday, March 25.
Despite the loss, McDaniel kept the game tight, while allowing just six goals and compiling a season-high of 14 saves. She also recorded one caused turnover and one groundball.
On the season, McDaniel has 64 saves, 85 goals allowed, for a save percentage of .430. She also has 14 groundballs and six caused turnovers.
Bucknell (2-6, 0-2 PL) will host Drexel on Tuesday, March 28, at Graham Field, at 4 p.m.
