Eric Junge Picks up Second Spring Training Victory with San Diego Padres

LEWISBURG, Pa. - 1999 Bucknell graduate Eric Junge picked up his second spring training victory with the San Diego Padres in a 9-7 win over Seattle this past Friday. Against the Mariners, the former member of the Bison baseball squad pitched one inning and retired the side in order to improve to 2-0 this spring with the Padres.
After spending 2005 with the New York Mets' triple-A affiliate the Norfolk Tides, Junge signed with San Diego last November. So far in his 2006 spring training stint with the major league club, Junge has made three relief appearances for a total of three innings of work. He has allowed one run on three hits with two walks and two strikeouts for an ERA of 3.00.
