Women's 1650 Free
Bucknell shows great depth in the 1650 free with four swimmers in the league's top-10 times. Neligan leads the group for the Orange and Blue, in fourth with a season-best time of 10:33.58 in the 1000 free that ranks eighth on the school's top-10 list. Brown is fifth (10:36.90), Donley is sixth (10:40.87) and freshman Ally St. Claire is eighth (10:45.27). Donley ranks on both the Bucknell's top-10 all-time lists for the 1000 free and the 1650 free. At last year's championship meet, Donley captured third in the 1650 free with a time of 17:17.10 on her way to All-League second team honors with 29 points. Thiel of American has the top time in the event with a 1000 free time of 10:14.05 and will look to repeat her 2004-05 first-place finish with a meet record time of 16:45.70.
Men's 1650 Free
Freshman Patrick Stummer has Bucknell's top 1000 free time at 9:55.51, which ranks eighth in the league. The Bison hold the 11th-15th ranking seed times, including Bauer in 12th (10:04.49) who finished fourth in the event at last year's league meet with a time of 16:10.35, which is second in the Bucknell record books. Freshman David Guthmann of Navy has this year's the top seed time in the event, 9:30.77.
Women's One-Meter, Six Dives
Fritz holds Bucknell's best mark in the event this season with a score of 225.15 at the Bucknell Sprint Invitational. Thomas' season-best came in the same meet as she scored 222.65 points, while Minerowicz best mark in the event on the season came at the Black Knight Diving Invitational (188.95). Haviland of Army is the defending champion in the event and scored a 273.00 in last year's Championship competition.
Women's 200 Back
One of the front-runners for the 200 back, Altman will look to capture her third individual championship in the event after setting pool, school meet and league records at the 2004-05 league meet with a time of 2:00.60. Altman holds the second-seeded time at 2:03.03 behind Navy freshman Jennie Spencer (2:02.98). Goeller, who finished third in the event a year ago with a Bucknell all-time top-10 time of 2:04.15, ranks seventh in the league going into the Championships (2:09.47).
Men's 200 Back
Freshman Nicholas Hanes has the season-best time for Bucknell in the 200 back, 1:55.51, to rank 10th in the league. The Bison also have Amato and McGraw vying for points with the 13th and 14th seeded times of 1:57.80 and 1:57.91. Navy's Mukri, who won the event at the 2004-05 Championships, holds the league-best time at 1:48.50.
Women's 100 Free
Scheffter will look to defend the second of her two individual championships from last season's league meet where she won the 100 free with a time of 51.58, which ranks third in the Bucknell record books. Zahalka of Navy and freshman Lisa Marchi of Colgate will attempt to dethrone Scheffter as they hold the first and second-seeded times at 51.90 and 52.36. Horstmann and Lovallo will make a run at adding to Bucknell's point total as the pair of freshmen hold the league's 11th and 12th-ranked times, 54.28 and 54.66.
Men's 100 Free
Grant Steadman and Peterman are expected to be Bucknell's top contenders in the 100 free. Steadman took the final scoring spot in 16th at the 2004-05 Championships, but this season holds the 10th-seeded time (47.18). Peterman finished 8th in the event last year is ranked 13th in the league with his season-best time of 47.79. Linn of Navy will look for another first-place showing as he won the event at last year's league meet with a time of 44.74.
Women's 200 Breast
The Bison should yield their fair share of points from the 200 breast with three swimmers seeded in the top 10. Woodward took sixth in the event at the league meet last season, scoring 13 of her 43 points that earned her a spot on the All-League first team. Wichryk was also scored in the event at last year's Championship and is seeded sixth this season with a time of 2:26.88. Woodward and Wichryk's personal-best times are currently ranked second and third in the Bucknell record books. Seaman also represents the Orange and Blue in the top-10 seed times in ninth with a time of 2:29.66. Freshman Emily Murphy of Colgate has the top-seeded time in the 200 breast at 2:21.21, while defending champion Thomas of Navy is second with a time of 2:22.20.
Men's 200 Breast
Coming off a runner-up finish in the 200 breast that earned him second team All-League honors and the second-place spot in the Bucknell top-10 all-time, Schilling will look to be a top contender in the event and comes into the meet with the sixth-best time in the league, 2:08.65. Junior Cliffton Cazes and Metcalf have the 12th and 13th-seeded times of 2:10.63 and 2:11.56 and also hold Bucknell all-time top-10 times in the event with personal-bests of 2:08.21 and 2:04.97, respectively. The winner from the 2004-05 Championships, Army sophomore Jake Mentele will be in search of a repeat as he holds the No. 1-seeded time of 2:01.70 and won the event in 2:02.29 last season.
Women's 200 Fly
At least year's league meet, Munson captured the gold in the 200 fly to earn a spot on the All-League first team and has the top time in the league this season, 2:09.90. Munson is third in the event in the Bucknell record books with a personal-best time of 2:06.22. Zahalka of Navy will battle Munson for first in the 200 fly as she has the second-seeded time at 2:07.38. Woodward and Neligan will look to add points in the event for the Bison as Woodward's season best time of 2:11.34 is seeded 13th and Neligan is 16th with a time of 2:12.83.
Men's 200 Fly
Crandell and Krezter finished eighth and 13th in the 200 fly at the 2004-05 Championships, but hold the 4th and 10th-best times in the league this season, 1:53.83 and 1:56.38. The pair ranks seventh and third, respectively, in the event in the Bucknell record books with personal-best times 1:53.83 and 1:52.34. 2004-05 champion, junior Zach Disbrow of Army, holds the top-time in the league this season, 1:48.87. He won the event last year with a time of 1:50.76.
Men's Three-Meter Diving
Freeman holds Bucknell's top mark in the three-meter dive for the 2005-06 season as he set a new personal-best with a score of 301.58 at the Navy Invitational to move up to third in the program record books. At the 2004-05 Championships, Freeman took fourth while Navy's Teague captured first. Senior Jake Thompson holds the second-highest score for the Bison in the three-meter this season. He set a personal-best mark in the event against Columbia with 269.02 points, good for sixth on the program's top-10 list.
Women's 400 Free Relay
Bucknell's 400 free relay squad took home a third-place finish at last year's league meet with the second-best time in program history, 3:30.70. This year, Skroski, Horstmann, Lovallo and Scheffer posted a season-best time of 3:35.38 for the Bison against Columbia, good for third in the league. Colgate has the top time in the event at 3:33.15 followed by Navy (3:35.27). Navy won the event last season with a meet-record time of 3:26.99.
Men's 400 Free Relay
The Bison finished fourth in the 400 free relay at the 2004-05 Championships with a time of 3:05.78 and have the No. 4-seed time this season, 3:11.37, set by Peterman, Kawczenski, Bauer and Grant Steadman at Lehigh. Navy took first at last year's league meet with a meet record time of 3:00.29 and holds the top-seeded time at 3:03.55 coming into this season's Championships.
