Women's 200 Free Relay
The team of Freshman Susan Horstmann, senior Mary Krakowski, senior Lauren Reed, and junior Rebecca Scheffter holds Bucknell's best time in the event this season, 1:38.85 (vs. Navy/Lafayette), which also ranks 10th on the program top-10 all-time. Colgate is the only other school in the league with a faster time in the even this year at 1:37.45. Bucknell won the event at the 2004-05 Championship.
Men's 200 Free Relay
Sophomore John Peterman, sophomore Grant Steadman, freshman Mark Kawczenski and junior Ian Rawhauser swam Bucknell's best time of the season in the event against Navy/Lafayette, 1:26.16. The Bison rank third in the conference behind Navy and Army for the fastest times in the 200 free relay. Bucknell finished third in the event last season.
Women's 500 Free
Sophomores Kristen Skroski (5:10.90), Brittany Neligan (5:11.77), Meghan Brown (5:13.63) and Carlyn Donley (5:13.65) will be the top competitors for the Orange and Blue in the 500 free, ranking sixth-thru-ninth for best times among those competing in the event. 2004-05 champion Meghan Thiel of American has the top time of 4:54.63.
Men's 500 Free
Senior Todd Bauer will look to repeat as an All-League performer after earning a second team nod in 2004-05 for scoring 35 points in the meet. Bauer holds the Bucknell season-best time in the 500 free (4:43.69) and finished sixth at last year's championship. Navy's Danny Flemming leads the pack with a time of 4:37.25 and finished third at the 2004-05 meet.
Women's 200 IM
Juniors Laura Goeller and Nikki Woodward, the two top time holders for the Bison in the 200 IM rank seventh and 10th overall with times of 2:10.28 and 2:12.79. Both athletes earned All-League first team honors last season and Goeller finished fourth in the 200 IM. Freshman Kelly Zahalka of Navy ranks first in the event with a time of 2:07.70. When the Bison and Midshipmen went head-to-head in dual meet competition, Zahalka took first in the event.
Men's 200 IM
Sophomores Theo Leriotis and Matthew McGraw are 15th and 17th in the League in the 200 IM, leading Bucknell's competitors in the event with times of 2:01.11 and 2:01.52. Navy's Andrew Thorn holds the season-best mark at 1:53.01 and won the event in the Midshipmen's dual against the Bison back in November.
Women's 50 Free
Scheffter will look to repeat as individual champion in the 50 free as she took home the gold in 2004-05 with the third-best time in Bucknell history (23.76). Her season-best time of 24.40 ranks second only to Colgate senior Chrissy Zaika (24.35). When the pair faced off in dual meet competition earlier this season, Zaika edged out Scheffter for first by just 0.28 seconds. Krakowski will also be in the mix for the Bison in the 50 free. She finished third in the event last season with the fourth-best time in program history (23.90) and her season-best time of 24.81 is eighth in the league going into Championship competition.
Men's 50 Free
Grant Steadman and Peterman represent Bucknell's top two times in the 50 free at 21.44 and 21.83, good for sixth and 14th in the league. The pair competed in the event at last year's league meet and finished seventh and eighth in the final, respectively. Peterman earned a second team All-League nod in 2004-05 after scoring 28 points in the meet for the Bison. Navy senior Mike Linn will attempt to win his second-straight gold in the event and has the league's best time on the season, 20.03.
Women's Three-Meter Diving
Senior Victoria Fritz holds Bucknell's season-best score of 226.60 in the three-meter dive while sophomore Lauren Thomas' posted a mark of 219.65 for her season-high. Junior Erica Minerowicz set her season-best mark at Lehigh with 194.48 points. Senior Chelsea Haviland of Army will look to repeat as three-meter champion.
Women's 400 Medley Relay
Bucknell won the 400 medley relay at the 2004-05 Championships and will look to hold off Navy and Colgate on its way to a repeat in the event. The Bison squad of senior Lectie Altman, Woodward, Krakowski and Scheffter has the season-best time for the Orange and Blue, 3:58.19, which also ranks ninth all-time in program history and third in the league this season. Navy has the top time in the event on the year, 3:52.54, followed by Colgate (3:57.92).
Men's 400 Medley Relay
The Bison placed fourth in the event at the Championships last season and currently hold the fourth-ranked time in the league as senior Mark Kretzer, sophomore Bradford Bennett, junior Matt Crandell and Grant Steadman swam a 3:31.48 in the event against Delaware for the team's season-best. Navy holds the league-best time at 3:20.01.
