Bucknell Swimming and Diving Teams Ranked in Latest CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major Poll

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell men's and women's swimming teams both earned spots in the latest CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major polls which were released on Tuesday.
The Bison men, who finished the dual meet portion of the season with a record of 3-5 (2-3 PL), are ranked 21st on the 25-team list with 224.6 points and sit just 0.25 points behind No. 20 Massachusetts. Princeton earned the No. 1 spot in the poll with 248.32 points in the third of four Mid-Major Division I Power Rankings of the 2005-06 season.
On the women's side, Bucknell is ranked 22nd with 224.7 points, ahead of James Madison, Delaware and Colgate, three teams the Bison faced during 2005-06. Harvard sits atop the poll with 244.7 points. The Bucknell women posted a 5-3 dual meet record this season, 4-1 in league competition, and will look to capture their fourth-straight league title at the Patriot League Championships on Feb. 23-25.
The CollegeSwimming.com rankings are based on each team's best dual meet lineup as judged and submitted by participating teams. The conferences included in the Mid-Major poll are America East, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, EISL, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-America, Mid-Continent, Midwest, Mid-eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Sun Belt, Trans America and West Coast.
